Waste Compaction Solutions for Food & Ingredients Processing

Food and ingredients facilities face waste challenges that standard compactors simply aren't built for. KenBay's hygienic, washdown-rated RotoPac™ solutions handle wet and dry waste, heavy sacks, and packaging materials — right at the source, and up to your industry's sanitation standards.

Standard waste handling solutions weren't designed for the combination of wet waste, heavy sacks, strict sanitation requirements, and continuous production flows that food and ingredients facilities deal with every day.

Food and ingredients processing plants operate under a level of sanitation scrutiny that most industries never encounter. Waste that sits too long, spills, or isn't properly contained doesn't just create a mess — it creates contamination risks, odor problems, and potential food safety violations. At the same time, the sheer volume and variety of waste generated — wet food byproducts, 50 lb. ingredient sacks, supersacks, cardboard, and plastic film — puts constant pressure on labor and hauling costs.

KenBay's RotoPac™ and RotoPac SacPac™ were purpose-built for these environments. Stainless steel construction, IP56-rated washdown capability, and at-source placement make them the practical choice for facilities where hygiene and efficiency have to coexist.

Wet food waste and byproducts sitting in open containers generate odors, attract pests, and create contamination zones — posing a direct threat to food safety standards and facility audits.

Frequent dumpster runs and waste removal trips interrupt production workflows, pull labor away from higher-value tasks, and drive up hauling costs — especially when containers are full of low-density packaging material.

Heavy-duty Industrial Construction for Continuous Use

The RotoPac SacPac continuously compacts waste into sealed bags, eliminating open containers and reducing the odor, spillage, and contamination risks associated with traditional bins. Washdown-rated components mean the unit itself stays clean and sanitary.

It is specifically designed to compact 50 lb. sacks and supersacks directly at the point of use — right off the conveyor belt or at the ingredient unpacking station — keeping the floor clear and workers safe.

The RotoPac SacPac is rated IP56 — dust-protected and resistant to powerful water jetting from any direction. With 304 stainless steel cabinet skins, galvanized structural parts, and NEMA 4X-rated electrical components throughout, it's built to be cleaned the way your facility needs to clean it.
