The Company
The KenBay history begins over 20 years ago in the United Kingdom. As a waste
disposal company, they observed that
over 80% of dumpster space was air.
And since landfill space is at a premium
in Europe, they designed an innovative
industrial trash compactor that can
compact waste at an on average 6-to-1
compaction ratio!
With the huge success they had in
Europe, KenBay introduced the patented Clydesdale model in the US in 1993.
Engineering advancements since its introduction
have improved and refined the
Clydesdale for the US market. For the past
12 years KenBay US has been servicing
hundreds of customers in N. America
including Boeing, Kraft, Konica Minolta,
Sea Ray Boats as well as numerous
smaller companies.
The reasons the company has enjoyed
such success to date is due to KenBay’s
unique offer to trial a Clydesdale for
free at a prospect’s facility, the quality
of the
machine itself and the outstanding
services the company provides.
KenBay inventories all parts with
overnight
delivery. The Clydesdale, manufactured
in an ISO 9001 environment, is of the
highest
quality with all parts under a full year
warranty.

The Clydesdale sits inside, at the
source of the waste
The Design
With only a 5’x 4’ footprint, the
portable 7’ tall Clydesdale sits over a
standard
sized pallet. Since it is a continuous
flow compactor, it can continue to compact even while waste is being loaded into
it, a
feature not found in ram compactors or
balers. Its rotary arm drum compaction
technology allows the compactor to be
fed a number of different ways; from a
chute, through pneumatic systems, from
a conveyor belt or manually
through a
front loading

door all into a sanitary and
durable 1.8 cubic yard
polyethylene bag.
The Clydesdale is designed to be
no
louder than a vacuum cleaner and
its
compact size allows it to sit
indoors at
the source of the waste.
The Clydesdale in Use
• Easy installation,
reduced trips to the
dumpster “by ten-fold”,
convenience and
ease of use all impressed the
Sanitation
Manager at a bakery of a major
supermarket
chain.
• The world’s largest
manufacturer of
pleasure boats placed two
Clydesdale
compactors on their assembly
line and
one at their distribution center
to manage
the 60 tons of trash generated
each week.
The Operations Manager notes
that forklift
operators and hauls to the
dumpster
have been cut in half and
forklift safety
has improved dramatically.
“KenBay

acquisition options.”
— Don Meis, President,
KenBay
• “Simply put, this saved us
money,” says
a Work Place Services Analyst at
a large
Kansas manufacturing plant. “It
cut trash
removal from six times a day to
only once
and it reduced our overhead
costs in the
purchase of plastic lids, steel
boxes and
casters by 70%.”
• A bindery/packaging
department manager
at a Central Pennsylvania
communications/
printing company points out, “Before,
three of my people would take
several hours to crush the waste
in large cardboard boxes. With
the Clydesdale, we have reduced
labor to no more than 30 minutes
for this job and have reclaimed
all of our floor space.”
The Safety Features
The Clydesdale requires no
special training
to operate and offers a number
of
safety features: main door
safety switch

when
changing bags; emergency stop
switch
located

prominently on
front of machine;
the isolator switch shuts power
off before primary
electrical box is opened; and a
safety switch is available to
stop the
machine when the loading door is
open.
Additionally, the compactor is
slab side
constructed so it is impossible
to climb
the machine and the 5 foot high
loading
door disallows workers from
reaching the
compactor arm.
Because the Clydesdale can be
placed
at the source of the waste, it
reduces
forklift traffic and thus
forklift accidents.
The Way It Works
• Place the Clydesdale inside your facility at the
source of the waste
• Place 1.8 cubic yard polyethylene bag inside compactor on a
standard pallet
• Bring wet/dry waste into machine through any of
numerous means
• Continuously compact waste under 4,400 lbs. torque
motor into bag until full
• Remove bag (weighing between 500
and 1000 lbs.) with forklift or
hand truck and replace with
empty bag
The Savings
Achieve your ROI in the first year!
KenBay customers achieve a
number of
savings with their Clydesdale
compactors.
• Save space on the factory
floor,
• Save person hours carting
loose waste
to outside container,
• Save waste hauling costs by
achieving
an on average compaction ratio
of 6 to 1.
The Offer
KenBay offers a free trial of its compactor
allowing factories, warehouses,
fulfillment
centers, etc. a week to test
their particular
applications.
The Acquisition Options
Companies have the option of purchasing,
renting, or leasing the
